Share your link or code. When your friend opens an account, deposits £100 and keeps it there for 14 days, you earn 100 Kestrl Points and an Umrah Giveaway Ticket.
How to refer a friend
1. Find your referral link and code in the Kestrl app.
2. Share it with a friend who'd like to hear from you.
3. Your friend uses your link, or enters your code, when they apply.
We can't add a code after an application has been submitted, and only one code can be used per application.
What makes a referral successful?
Your friend needs to:
1. Pass our identity checks (KYC)
2. Deposit at least £100 from an external account in their own name
3. Keep at least £100 in their account for 14 days
The 14 days don't need to be in a row. If their balance dips below £100, the count simply pauses and picks up again when they're back above it. Any days already counted are kept.
Following your referrals
You can track each referral in the app:
Pending: your friend has used your link or code but hasn't passed identity checks yet.
Securing: identity checks passed. They now need to deposit £100 and keep it there for 14 days.
Successful: all done. Your Kestrl Points and Ticket have been added.
We'll never show you your friend's balance, transactions or any other personal information.
What do I get?
For every Successful Referral you earn:
100 Kestrl Points, which you can spend on a free card or, soon, a cash reward. Points are used up when you spend them.
1 Ticket for the Umrah Giveaway. Tickets are never spent, and they carry forward into every future draw.
Who can take part?
You can refer friends if you're 18 or over, live in the UK, and have an active Kestrl account that you've verified and set a card PIN for.
Your friend must also be 18 or over and UK-resident, and must never have started signing up with Kestrl before. That includes through Muslim Money, an earlier Kestrl app or the waitlist.
Good to know
You can't refer yourself or open a second account to do it.
Referring someone doesn't guarantee they'll be given an account. Every application goes through our normal checks.
Please only share your link with people you know. No spamming, paid ads or voucher sites.
If rewards were earned in a way that breaks the rules, we may reverse them.
There's no time limit on referrals at the moment. If that changes, we'll tell you in the app first.
