When you load your card, funds are placed in dedicated “safeguarding accounts” by our partners, AF Payments. In our case this is primarily with Maybank UK who then invests it into ‘low risk’ assets that have been approved by the UK regulator and Shariah advisors.
Your money will be safeguarded until it is paid out. This happens if you spend or withdraw money with your Kestrl card, send it to another bank account, or spend it in any other way.
