At times AF Payments may limit how much you can receive in or pay out from your Account, or how much you can withdraw or spend from your Kestrl card. This is to comply with compliance and regulatory limits in the UK.
The good news is that as you build a history with Kestrl and complete additional verification steps, your limits increase.
Your Trust Level:
Your limits are set by your Trust Level. There are three:
Trust Level 3 (Standard) — where everyone starts once identity verification is complete.
Trust Level 4 (Enhanced) — for customers who have been with us a while and built a consistent account history.
Trust Level 5 (Premium) — our highest limits, for customers who need to move larger amounts and can evidence that this fits their financial circumstances.
Trust Levels 4 and 5 are not automatic. Both are reviewed individually, and you'll need to speak to one of our human agents to request an upgrade. If you're approved, we'll confirm it by email.

How to upgrade to Trust Level 5
Message one of our human agents in the app and ask to be considered for Trust Level 5.
We'll ask you to share evidence of your income or overall financial position — usually a recent bank statement or payslip. We may occasionally need one more document alongside it. Please send these through the in-app chat only.
We ask for this because UK anti-money-laundering rules require us to see that limits of this size fit your circumstances.Your documents go to AF Payments, our payments partner, who make the final decision. We'll email you the outcome either way.
